About Lisa Toth

Lisa is a professionally trained Garden Designer based Bangor, North Wales and works throughout Gwynedd, Cheshire, SE London and further afield.

Lisa holds qualifications from Capel Manor at Regent’s Park and acclaimed London College of Garden Design in Kew. She has qualifications in Garden Design, Planting Design and Construction Detailing. She holds the RHS level 2 Practical Horticulture qualification.

Gardens are in her blood, she has been gardening, growing and propagating since childhood. Her grandfather was a gardener and landscaper and even into his 90s still grew plants on his windowsill when he could no longer care for a garden. Growing up in large gardens and parents who are both keen and knowledgeable gardeners, she learnt the Latin names of plants and how to care for the plants, some very unusual, early on. Her summers she spent jobbing in nurseries allowing her to grow her horticultural knowledge.

Lisa believes in giving back and continuing to learn and she regularly volunteers in gardens. She’s spent time at Great Dixter in Kent, Plas Brondanw in North Wales, at English Heritage’s Marble Hill in Twickenham, at Buckthorne Cutting Nature Reserve in London and more recently at Treborth Botanical Gardens in Bangor where she enjoys working in a team of other volunteers, continues to learn and makes new friends.

She is a member of the Society of Garden Designers.
